In this episode, hosts Lauren Gerber Ms. Ed., PSY. D. and Becca Lory, CAS, BCCS speak with Katherine Cody, Psy.D. Dr. Cody is a licensed clinical psychologist in full-time private practice, and maintains offices at Spectrum Services in NYC and in southern Connecticut. Dr. Cody offers psychological and neuropsychological evaluations including Adult Asperger’s Assessments. She also provides individual and family psychotherapy services, specializing in an individualized and integrated approach to treatment to meet each person’s unique needs. She offers psychotherapy services using Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) approaches integrated with social skills training, and family psychotherapy as needed, and offers particular expertise in therapy for individuals with ASD and co-occurring mental health conditions (i.e. anxiety, depression, etc.). Dr. Cody discusses what is involved with assessing an adult for autism, and the challenges in achieving diagnoses.
