Friday Night Blogging, Birthday

As I was going to bed last night, after a long day of work in the Malmö Adventist Church, doing some electrician work there, and Trucksitting*, I suddenly realized that my birthday was coming up. I had kind of forgotten about it.
*Trucksitting, Sleep in the LifeStyleTV Production Truck, when it is in town, to make sure no one breaks in etc.
The day began with sleep, and I didn’t really get up until 9. After that i ate some good breakfast and started working on my tasks. Now, you might think that starting your birthday with work would be a little boring. But the fact is, I like my work. I’m lucky enough to say, that God have lead my life in a direction where work is fun, and a blessing.
After all that was done, I expected to stay in Malmö and do Trucksitting. But apparently there had been a change in plans, and I where going home, and someone else where doing that. On our way home, I talked to a woman from norway that is visiting this weekend, and apperantly her church is the same church as the one i grew up in (Eidså), she lives in Norfjoreid, so she’s not there so often, but it was amazing to randomly meet her like that. It was a blessing to get to know her, she’s a sweet woman. (She even suggested that I should get to know her daughter :p, but quickly added that she isn’t an Adventist yet, but she was working with her :p)
When we got back to LifeStyleTV, there was a HUGE surprise party waiting, and I’m talking HUGE! For starters, there where so many ppl, that during worship some was sitting way into the kitchen, others where halfway in to the bedroom, forced away from sitting to close to the oven. I never counted, but i would estimate that we where 20+. Then there was the food, my favorite! Highstack, Taco, not to forget the yummy homemade + ice-cream desert. YumYumYum+NomNomNom
All in all a blessed and eventful day.
Among the huge amount of email i got today (most of which where facebook wall messages, about 62 of them i think) there where one email in particular that stuck out from the crowd. It had a strange title, and a random body, read the translated version below:
Hello Future
The following is an e-mail from the past, composed on Monday, November 14, 2005, and sent via FutureMe.org
Well, this is kind of exciting, to send a mail to my own future.
Wonder what i’ll do then.
I’m just sitting here, thinking about sleeping.
Cant really send this mail to far either, want to be sure that it makes it there.
I’m currently playing electrician, been doing so for two and a half month now.
Don’t know what more to say.
Merry Christmas, or no… Let’s say Happy birthday.
I hope the car (the first one) is still alive, I don’t think i have money for a new one, if you have bought one.
I sincerely hope that you are still holding on to God, and are placing you life in his hands each and every day. Do remember to thank him for all the things that he does for you! :)
Love me!
I guess you understood that the last part of my email, was the most touching one to me. I really do have a lot to thank God for, first of which is the fact that he is still holding on to me.
If I simply let him lead, the results are always filled with joy. But I can easily slip every now and then, not fully trusting him, and letting him have all my life, every day, giving him everything.
Starting today, I will once again place the whole of my life, every day of it, in his saving hands. Take me, lead me, use me.
Why? There is just something about life with God, once you’ve tasted it, everything else is rubbish.
