Friday Night Blogging, The truck is coming
by emlodnaor October 16th, 2009And just like that, it’s Friday again, and Sabbath. God is good indeed! Just as we get tiered of the week, he hands us the Sabbath :) I guess some of you get very tiered, but then I guess you appreciate the Sabbath more.
Being a Christian isn’t always easy, and for that reason, people sadly leave their faith every now and then, all to often i think. I have on numerous occasions wondered what to do about it. They are friends, and it makes me sad to see them go. Throughout the years it’s been more than I can count, and thinking back, I’m not even sure if I can remember half of them.
What should we do?
Sometimes I write them, not knowing why, or what to write. Some words can toss them far away, others will hopefully get them back on track. Saying nothing feels like looking away and not saying anything, when you see the danger.
You can see the truck coming, they are standing in the middle of the road, and sooner or later you have to choose what to do, so they can choose who to follow. Will you try to warn them, or will you ignore the situation.
It’s not like I know what to say, cause they normally don’t even believe that trucks exist. And if they do, they have looked away for too long, or think that the truck will drive around them. Being on the road is seemingly so exciting, everyone else is on the road, and all the fun is on the road.
I recently tried telling a friend of mine about the truck, and I ended the email with these words:
Luke 22:32 (slightly modified)
I have prayed for you, that your faith may not fail.
With brotherly love, Happy Birthday, I witch you infinity more! A limited number of birthdays on a crappy earth is not a good deal, you deserve much more.
Hopefully I didn’t do to much harm.
Have a Happy Sabbath, and don’t drift away, I might just write you.
