Joh 17:14  I have given them Your Word, and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
Joh 17:15  I do not pray for You to take them out of the world, but for You to keep them from the evil.
Joh 17:16  They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
Joh 17:17  Sanctify them through Your truth. Your Word is truth.
Joh 17:18  As You have sent Me into the world, even so I have sent them into the world.

Are you of the world, or does the world hate you?

All to often we tend to live of the world, and not only in it. Doing worldly things have no eternal value, and intellectually, we know that. But far to often we end up living like the world. Once in a while we have to take a look in the mirror, to see how we’re spending our time and resources.

Rom 12:1  I beseech you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, pleasing to God, which is your reasonable service.
Rom 12:2  And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, in order to prove by you what is that good and pleasing and perfect will of God.

Are you letting God transform you?

Why is it that it’s possible to be a “Christian” without daily spending time with God? Why are we able to spend hours on end reading worldly books, watching worldly TV, or the cyberspace, but rarely have time to open the Bible? How can we spend hours on the world, and only a few minutes on our Lord and Saviour?

Rev 3:15  I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I would that you were cold or hot.
Rev 3:16  So because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth.

This is harsh, but please, do NOT miss the last part of this chapter.

Rev 3:17  Because you say, I am rich and increased with goods and have need of nothing, and do not know that you are wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked,
Rev 3:18  I counsel you to buy from Me gold purified by fire, so that you may be rich; and white clothing, so that you may be clothed, and so that the shame of your nakedness does not appear. And anoint your eyes with eye salve, so that you may see.
Rev 3:19  As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten; therefore be zealous and repent.
Rev 3:20  Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him and he with Me.
Rev 3:21  To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me in My throne, even as I also overcame and have sat down with My Father in His throne.
Rev 3:22  He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.

Lets hear, lets use our ears!

Oh, dear God. I come before you now, asking for forgiveness. I spend far to much time on the world, jet find so little time for you. Please forgive me, and encourage me to set aside more time for you. God, i know, intellectually that spending time with you, is far more entertaining and joyful, than any worldly activity. But my heart is deceitful, I don’t know it. Come live in my life, take charge, and guide. In Jesus name, AMEN

Happy Sabbath!
