Please read Exodus (2.Mosebok) Chapter 14, and then, come back here :)

Exodus 14

Look at how God makes the Israelites turn around, and do a different route then the one they chose them self, resulting in being vulnerable.
Trapped.
Between the Red Sea, and Pharaoh and his men.
The Israelites does what any normal person would do, they panic.
They get mad.
They get frustrated.
They wanted to give up.
However, Moses tells them to relax, witch was in my imagination quite impossible. How could Moses tell them to relax, to stand firm, when they where scared to death?

It’s interesting to notice Moses’ Background, and the Isriaelites background, to better understand their reactions.

The Israelites had been slaved for all their life, and their mentality follows that nature. It’s not unlikely that many of them had asked them self the question “where is god?” during times of slavery, quite understandably.

Moses on the other hand had never been enslaved and have had powerful experiences with God; the burning bush, the miracles before Pharaoh and more.

So, in this very moment, the Israelites had a Fear experience, and Moses had a Faith experience. Moses knew that God would do something to rescue them; it would make no sense to end it all here.

The appeal?
Have a little faith, don’t be scared, stand firm and you will see the deliverance the LORD will bring you today.

You can’t stop a man without fear, if he fears nothing, nothing will stop him.
Be fearless for God, nothing will stop you.

God bless, and have a happy Sabbath :)
